Adele, Set Fire To The Rain lyrics
So this morning on my way to work at 8 freaking am, I’m not finding anything on Sirius I want to listen to, radio stations are all gabbing away incessantly, and my cd’s in the car are getting old with this 40 minute each way commute each day (except my JCM cd’s, those NEVER wear out!).
So I stop messing around and settle for The Pulse, and Adele’s “Set Fire To The Rain” was playing. I have always tuned out her music, because unfortunately, radio has killed her beautifully written music and soulful voice for me by it’s massive overkill.
But, this time I listened…and I was impressed with the lyrics. She wrote them, which, I’m a big fan of artists who write their own shit, like JCM.
I am supremely pissed at radio for ruining Adele for me. Thanks, morons. I just can’t listen to her incredibly talented voice because I’ve heard the damn song bazillions of times. :(
